Why boards choose BoardTools
Made for participating on the go
Optimized for taking part from anywhere — review the packet, follow the motion, and cast your vote from your phone, wherever the meeting finds you.
Accountable by default
Quorum computed live, thresholds enforced, every ballot recorded. The minutes write themselves from the record.
Private by construction
Each board's data is isolated with row-level security. Your bylaws, ballots, and directory stay yours.

Questions from the floor
FAQ
Can our members vote outside a live meeting?
Not yet — it's the next thing we're building. Today every vote is cast during a meeting, as a recorded roll-call or a secret ballot. Async email ballots will let a motion be moved, circulated, and decided between meetings, with the same recorded tally and threshold rules.
How does BoardTools keep our records private?
Every board is isolated with row-level security in the database itself — queries physically cannot cross board boundaries. Members see only the boards they sit on.
Is it usable for our less technical members?
That's the design brief. BoardTools is built to be read and used comfortably on any device — clear type, large touch targets, and high-contrast, legible screens throughout. It's optimized for participating on the go, so a member can review the packet and cast a vote from their phone. If a member can use email, they can use BoardTools.
What does "priced per board" mean exactly?
One flat price covers a board and everyone on it — directors, officers, staff, and observers. Members rotating on and off never changes your bill. Plans differ by board size and features: Starter fits a small board, Board covers up to 15 members, and Pro is unlimited. A board's committees are included on every paid plan.
Can we bring in our existing bylaws and records?
Yes. Upload governing documents (bylaws, charters, policies) with effective dates and an official-version pointer, and import your member directory from CSV. Past minutes can be attached to historical meetings.
Can we get our data out?
Always. The member directory and decision register export to CSV, minutes and meeting packets download as PDF, and documents download individually or as a ZIP. Your record is yours.
